School staff who have a concern that a student might be vulnerable to radicalisation should follow their normal safeguarding procedure. However, we want teachers to feel supported and confident about their responsibilities under the Prevent duty. If you are concerned about extremism in a school or organisation that works with children, or want further advice on what to do if you think a child might be at risk of extremism, contact our helpline on 020 7340 7264. Open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).
