Guidance on how to invite a member of the House of Lords to visit your school or college to answer questions about their work and role in our parliamentary system. Schools and sixth form colleges can apply for a visit by a member of the House of Lords to hear direct explanations of their work and role with the aim to improve students’ understanding of democracy and the rule of law. Work includes supporting the teaching of the citizenship and social studies and encouraging discussion of politics and Parliament.
