Learning About Inter Faith is a resource designed to help increase upper key stage two pupils’ understanding of inter faith encounter, dialogue and action.  

The resource consists of a teachers’ introduction and five units. Teachers can choose individual units to suit pupils’ needs and interests. Learning about Inter Faith is created by The Inter Faith Network which aims to make better known and understood the teachings, traditions and practices of the different faith communities in the UK. Teachers may want to use this resource during Inter Faith Week.

This unit aims to help pupils understand the unique features of dialogue and why it is important.

Unit 3: Making a difference in the community – inter faith social action

This unit aims to help pupils learn about and understand how people of faith respond to issues.

Unit 4: Team spirit – inter faith sport

This unit aims to help pupils understand how physical activity projects can be used to help build good inter faith relations.
